With one fair and two venues as its core theme, Cosmoprof Asia is descending upon Hong Kong for a celebration of beauty November 15-18.
An expansive floor covering two venues, tens of thousands of international visitors and a comprehensive beauty offering unlike any other can feel a little chaotic, but Cosmoprof Asia is anchored by a commitment to innovation in the beauty, aesthetics and spa industries.

Celebrating its 21st anniversary this year, the leading beauty event in the Asia-Pacific region will span two venues, AsiaWorld-Expo and Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) across four days.

Other extraordinary statistics are the nearly 3000 exhibitors attending, and the 60,000 visitors expected to attend. The multitude of attendees will make their way from both local and international industries to see myriad of innovations encapsulated in the 98,000 sqm exhibition space.

These exhibitions will primarily highlight areas of Packaging, Contract Manufacturing, Private Label, Machinery and Equipment at the first venue, and Cosmetics and Toiletries, Natural Health, Beauty Salon, Hair Salon and Nail and Accessories at the latter space.

The international presence of the convention will consist of 23 national and group pavilions including France, Germany, Israel, Turkey, Korea, Japan, and first-time attendees Greece, Latvia and Romania, bringing multiculturalism fully to Hong Kong.

Professionalism will be at the event’s forefront at both venues, with special areas dedicated to the professional beauty industry and companies.

At AsiaWorld-Expo, this professional emphasis comes courtesy of the inaugural Innovation Circle Awards, which will decide the most innovative products of the supply chain.

Companies who specialise in packaging solutions and contract manufacturers can participate in as many as six categories of Best Product Design, from colour cosmetics, to nail, skincare and hair, as well as Best Primary Packaging Design and Best Secondary Packaging Design.

This competition will be curated by Beautystreams, a trend forecasting agency, and winners will be chosen by a group of international judges, with the final awards ceremony to take place on November 15.

Other exclusive and innovative features of the event include the Spotlight On Ingredients section, which will specifically cater to exhibitors of ingredients, fragrances, testing, lab equipment and regulatory solutions.

This is the ideal networking and sourcing platform for all formulators, R&D personnel, business development and marketing professionals.

The event will also incorporate philanthropic efforts, particularly with its charity campaign Boutique, which will return for the third year. Here, visitors will be able to buy travel-size products from selected exhibiting companies, for a suggested donation to the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation.

Lastly, the four-day World Asia Forum will span the entire convention, and take place across both locations, delivering over 30 forums and discussions that address pertinent issues, topics and trends across various markets in the beauty industry.

It may seem daunting, but with the myriad of activities, brands and networking opportunities that will share the space across two massive venues in November, Cosmoprof Asia looms as a beauty bubble we just can’t resist. Seek out the spa and clinic elements on offer at this inimitable annual event.
