Mala McAlpin 10 very lucky Australian BABOR clients have just returned from a whirlwind excursion to Aachen, Germany, where they were treated to 4 jam-packed days of BABOR education and spectacular sightseeing. With Aachen the home of BABOR’s headquarters, including education centre, laboratory and manufacturing facility where products are created from scratch, the location made the perfect backdrop for a journey full of inspiration.
With such an exclusive and limited guest list available, candidates were selected from BABOR stockists that reached their specified sales targets (set individually by BABOR based on size of business, current purchases, history of purchases, and estimated growth potential) which were then decided on by category and announced at BABOR’s Annual Business Symposium in January this year.
One of these included Escena skin Clinic, Balgowlah Heights. “This was my 3rd experience to visit Babor HQ in Germany, said owner Zara. “It was by far the best trip. A wonderful group of women all very different but we all shared the same passion and drive for our business. Our international trainer Fabienne was so experienced knowledgeable.”
On day 1, attendees kicked off the festivities with a company walk & BABOR museum tour, before delving into a day of learning – comprising of company presentation and hands-on visual merchandising workshops. Day 2 had a major focus on skin science, with in-depth product information on BABOR’s latest range (stay tuned!) plus another hands-on afternoon of treatment demos with International Director of Education Fabienne Guichon-Lindholm.
There was a lot to get through during the final day of learning, including ampoule concentrates news, marketing activities, menu development, social media trends and farewells and certificates, before the final day where guests were whisked away for a day of sightseeing, soaking up the natural and architectural beauty that Aachen has to offer. On the itinerary was a guided city tour, a visit to the BABOR BEAUTY SPA, a stop at the Aquis Grana, a visit to the hotel Quellenhof, and of course, the renowned Carolus Thermal Bath.
