So could you tell us why you’re looking forward to speaking Beauty & Spa Insiders?

Marketing is something that has been a real passion of mine, and something I spend most of my day outside of work doing. I geek out on that sort of stuff, listening to all the podcasts, reading all the blogs, anything I can get my hands on. So it’s cool that someone is interested in having a conversation about it within the aesthetics industry. Most of my friends and family have no interest in entertaining my obsession, so it will be nice to be in a room with likeminded people.

How would you describe your ideal day?

I wake up, go to the gym, then usually do a bit of work on the business and hang out with my two-and-a-half-year-old son before he goes to daycare. After work, I’ll go to jiu jitsu and have a nice dinner somewhere.

If you could travel anywhere right now, where would you go and why?

I would go to Dubai. They are holding a lot of UFC events there, and I’d love to go and watch. Something I’ve missed over the past few months is going to sporting events, so anywhere I can watch something live.

Beauty product you can’t live without?

It’s a hard question! I do a lot of stuff on camera now, and I am not someone who likes to wear makeup, but I know it’s important for the skin to look nice on camera. I’ve got this Revision Skincare tinted moisturiser which seems to be quite good.

What is your favourite social media platform, and why?

Instagram is our best social media platform. It has everything, and it seems to be our most engaged platform. It’s where most of our business comes from, and I think it’s probably going to do nothing but grow for us.

How do you stay motivated?

We have had a lot of success in a short period. When you see small wins every day, I think it’s easy to stay motivated. I suggest ticking off little tasks, even if it’s small, like going to the gym, waking up on time or receiving a lovely review from a patient. It’s the small victories.

What do you love the most about the aesthetics industry?

It gives you an outlet for creativity. There are a lot of areas that haven’t been explored yet, and you can innovate a little bit. Even with the use of fillers and anti-wrinkle injections, you can create your artwork that comes to life right in front of your eyes. It’s a friendly industry, and while you might get some unhappy people, most people are thrilled with your work. They are grateful, and it’s a nice, fun environment.
