5 Valentine’s Day Specials To Offer Your Clients

Christmas has come and gone, so what’s next on the holiday calendar? Valentine’s Day. While some people hate the ‘artificially’ romantic day, there’s no denying it’s a multi-million dollar business, especially for chocolate and flower businesses.

Spas and beauty salons can expect to experience an increasing demand for pick-me-up services, such as facials, brow and lash treatments, and of course injectables around V-Day, too, as everyone wants to look their best on Feb 14.

So it only makes sense to cash in on the holiday by offering strategic specials themed around Valentine’s Day. Here are a few ideas to implement right now, leading up to next Wednesday:

Extend Your Hours

Most people will want to see you for a treatment the day before Valentine’s Day, so if you’re booked out already, consider extending your working hours on Tuesday to book in a few more people in the evening.

Promote Vouchers

Do you offer vouchers? If you do, make sure you use signs/posters at your salon, and social media or an e-newsletter to let your clients know they can easily buy vouchers as a Valentine’s Day gift. If you want to make it extra convenient, offer to post them directly to the recipient.

Offer Couples Specials

Sell treatment packages targeting couples, for example two facials including a head and shoulder massage that can be experienced in the same room (if your facilities allow), or a special offer price for injectables if both book in at the same time.

Gift-Wrap Your Skincare

Buy some pretty gift wrap and offer to package your skincare products as a gift free of charge. Chances are some male clients will appreciate the convenience of buying a gift for their loved one.

Social Media Shout-Outs

Come up with a hashtag such as #vdayglow and ask your clients to post selfies after their treatments to get a discount. Not only will it be an incentive to book a treatment with you, but your social media following will also experience a boost.
