Caroline Stanbury, owner of Smitten Cosmetics, describes the new and improved version of Smitten Whipped Mousse Foundation, out now.
‘We found that the 100 percent natural formulation was too thick on the skin and some people had trouble spreading the mousse. So we searched and have added a cross polymer to formulation. This means that it spreads on the skin ‘like butter’ as James Vincent MUA of Lady Gaga fame described at the Pro Beauty and Makeup show in Brisbane.
‘We also upped the moisturising content of the formulation – increasing the jojoba and shea butter – which of course helps to enhance the skin. Smitten Whipped Mousse is a treatment foundation suitable for all skin types and especially for people with sensitive skin and rosacea.’
Smitten Whipped is half moisturiser, half foundation, containing shea butter, jojoba oil, zinc oxide, emulsifying’pomegranate extract, macadamia oil, apricot oil, aloe vera, evening primrose oil, vitamin E, rosehip oil, salicylic acid, titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, rice powder, magnesium myristate and kaolin clay.
Smitten Whipped Mousse is recommended for use after ‘ Laser Surgery ‘ Dermabrasion ‘ Chemical Peel ‘ Fraxel ‘ Face Lift ‘ Eye Lift (Blepharoplasty) ‘ Nasal Surgery (Rhinoplasty) ‘
The formula is still paraben-free, not tested on animals and proudly owned and manufactured in Australia.
Application Tips:
For seamless full coverage: apply with a sponge or a foundation brush, blending as you go. Layer for buildable coverage.
Quick light coverage: Apply with the fingers quickly blending and smoothing.
Dewy Finish: Apply directly after a serum application – this gives a moist dewy finish rather than the matte finish.
