Have you called your suppliers yet?
With most aesthetic businesses now shut down, the uncertainty of how salons, spas, clinics, and beauty professionals in general will be able to keep their business going is front of mind. As we all figure out a ‘new normal’ and ways to treat clients remotely, it is important to be kind and supportive and help each other out where we can.
Among all of the bad news, most of you have experienced kind gestures from your clients and your community in recent days, and we are happy to report that many professionals skincare, equipment and device companies have come up with ways to help stockists through the next few months. So if you haven’t already done so, call your suppliers and see what they are doing to make life a little bit easier for you. We’ve reached out to several brands to hear about their initiatives, and as expected, they are here to support you:
Waterlily
“We have called all of our spa and salon partners to personally reassure them of our commitment and have felt a real sense of optimism. There is a group feeling that even though our economy is suffering, we understand the priceless value of our health and that it is our wellness we are protecting.
For those spa and salon partners able to continue through online channels, we have created compelling and generous Gift with Purchase offers with flexible retail buy-ins. To ensure these can be seamlessly and effectively implemented we have created the online assets including video to activate the campaigns. We will continue to create ongoing content and offers.” – Michelle Reeve, Founder Waterlily.
Cutera
“In order to support our customers as they navigate this very difficult path, Cutera is offering an educational focus to best help equip customers to prosper when normality returns. These on-line educational initiatives will consist of:
- Cutera University e-Learning
- Marketing & Social Media Recovery Plan to help set clinics up for success once this dark period of uncertainty begins to alleviate
- Expert advice on how clinics can take advantage of the recently announced Govt stimulus package and optimise lender willingness to offer favorable terms
- Laser Technology education to best equip clinics to use their current technologies to their fullest potential
- Unprecedented deal and pricing flexibility to facilitate the adoption of new technology for those interested in exploring new technology
“If any level of optimism can be taken from the current crisis it is that the Australian psyche is one of resilience and community spirit. We all live in hope that, at some stage in the near future, the spread of Covid-19 will be manageable allowing business and daily life to resume some level of normality.
Whilst we all need to manage the current circumstances we find ourselves in the best way we can for the safety of our families and our employees, we also need to be mindful of the need to adapt to the new world and keep one eye on what the future will look like once clinic doors reopen and patients return seeking services. Clinics who use this enforced downtime as an opportunity to invest in educating themselves and their staff, set a plan for the future and possibly consider how to take full advantage of the Govt stimulus and favorable borrowing conditions may be best equipped to recover quickest on the other side of this crisis. My team and I at Cutera will be here to support all of our customers in any way we possibly can.” –Brett Elliott, Country Manager Cutera Australia & New Zealand

Spa Vision
“As we all enter a new reality, we wanted you, our clients, to know that we are here for you. We understand that a lot of plans will be put on hold for now while we all adjust.
However, as time moves on, some of you will be using your spare hours to plan for the future – whether this be catching up on maintenance or planning future projects. So, we wanted to let you know how we can help. For maintenance, we can assist you with the supply of parts, digital manuals and telephone support and advice.
For now, our supply chain remains strong and whilst we know there may be challenges ahead we have a great infrastructure in place and we are not reliant on any one supplier or logistics company. Spring Spa Wear
Leanne Spring, Founder of Spring Spa Wear says she realises that this is not the time to sell products to her clients. Instead, she is focusing on “sending love and being here in the wings for them.” Her and her team have sent out an e-mail to her database with suggestions on how to use your time productively while you’re closed.
“Although chaos is the current norm, we encourage you to keep yourself busy and try not to become overwhelmed by what is currently out of our control. Use this time to go back to the basics, connect with your online community and revisit all those elements of your business that make you love what you do.
Nevertheless, while it’s important to take care of our businesses, we also need to take care of ourselves. If business and admin is not a priority now, we encourage you to take a break and indulge in some self-care. COVID-19 is affecting all of us, so know that you’re not alone, and that we’re all going to get through this together.” – Leanne Spring, Founder Spring Spa Wear

In the next 24 hours your BDM will be in touch with a dedicated ‘Clinic Code’ which your clients can use to place orders via the www.inskincosmedics.com or www.ocosmedics.com website. As the nominated clinic you’ll receive a credit of the wholesale amount minus a handling fee.
We wholeheartedly believe that what we do today will determine who we are tomorrow and as such have made several adjustments effective immediately to ensure that until this phase passes (and it will) healthy skin and healthy business can continue as best it can.
