The ASCD is a not for profit organisation, a part of the Skin and Cancer Foundation Inc and all its monies are fed back into further teaching and training for the benefit of all the professions. It is a completely open conference – only in existence to teach. It is designed to bring national and international thought leaders to one place to give all attendees a simply amazing experience that will be both practical and inspirational.
This year will have 11 overseas speakers and some great Australian thought leaders emphasising excellence – in general and into the specifics of practice, the aspiration, inspiration and fulfilment of this goal.
Room B with emphasis on lasers and energy-based devices, skin care, regulatory aspects and the business of practice building. Trying to be a responsive organisation, this is a direct result of an amazing plenary on effective medical education last year. Room A will see a mixture of epidermal, dermal, subcutaneous and muscular concerns.

The faculty of local experts will be joined by four invited international guests to ensure that the 24th Advanced Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Workshop provides another year of strong educational content to all attending. The aim of this year’s workshop is to comprehensively explore and educate on the many aspects of aesthetic breast surgery and body contouring along with raising the standards of management for the betterment of our specialty and to improve patient outcomes.
The 2020 workshop will commence on the morning of Friday 21 February and will conclude at lunchtime, on Sunday 23 February. It will include didactic teaching, video presentations of topical surgical procedures along with discussion panels and audience Q&A opportunities. Interaction with international guests by all attendees is openly encouraged.
Guests are encouraged to not only support this meeting, which has become a permanent highlight in the ASAPS yearly plastic surgery calendar, but to also become involved with fellow attendees to help organisers continue to make this a valuable meeting to the great benefit of all plastic surgeons, plastic surgery trainees, dedicated plastic surgery nurses and the industry sponsors involved.
