For over 15 years, Gwinganna has set the standard in wellness and spa retreats, and it’s easy to see why. Founded by Tony De Leede and Hugh Jackman whose vision was ahead of its time, this award-winning Best Luxury Eco Spa is a sanctuary like no other—nestled in the Tallebudgera Valley surrounded by nature, waking up to the Wallabies and guided by the owls on our way to bed completes our need for an escape out of the big smoke to reset.
✨ From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in tranquility. The Spa entrance is breathtaking, leading to serene pathways, private treatment rooms, a cold plunge, steam room, and an innovativewellness lounge featuring state-of-the-art wellness pods and LED therapy to promote relaxation and collagen production.
💆‍♀️ With 37 treatment rooms, Gwinganna is home to the largest spa in the Southern Hemisphere. We indulged in Vanessa Megan’s Metamorphosis Lift Facial—an 80-minute experience of fascia release, lymphatic drainage, and expert compressions that left our skin radiant and lifted.
🌿 The spa & wellness menu offers a variety of organic facials, Lymphatic drainage massages, Ayurveda aromatherapy, hand & foot therapies, and the exclusive Equine Experience—a powerful, mindful connection with horses that teaches us to be fully present.
🐴 Horses have guided human development for thousands of years, and at Gwinganna, you can experience Equine meditation firsthand. A must shout out to the OG of nutrition @zoebingleypullin who treated us to an informative discussion on hormones and a cooking lesson.
⛈️ Our visit was unexpectedly cut short by Cyclone Alfred, but Gwinganna’s incredible team, led by General Manager Melanie, kept all guests safe and informed. Their care and professionalism were remarkable.
