Aussie Medi Tech Launches New TGA Approved Acne Laser ACCURE

The latest revolutionary acne technology.

The ACCURE laser system is the latest groundbreaking innovation in acne treatment, becoming the latest fully automated, light-based platform designed to selectively target and damage sebaceous glands—the main source of sebum production—offering a long-lasting solution to acne.

Equipped with advanced thermal imaging sensors, the ACCURE laser handpiece automatically targets and controls pulses of laser energy to the treatment area. This creates a wide and efficient treatment zone, delivering pinpoint damage to the target chromophore the sebaceous gland, a critical component of acne pathophysiology.

ACCURE’s fully automated system requires no user input during treatment. It adjusts in real-time to ensure consistent, per-pulse temperature control, delivering optimal results with every use. The 1726nm fiber laser source provides exceptional accuracy, maintaining a stable wavelength with extreme precision (+/- 1nm), ensuring it effectively targets sebaceous glands without affecting surrounding tissue.

In addition to its precision, the ACCURE system has low ongoing maintenance costs thanks to the absence of chip cards and flash lamps. The only required consumable is affordable plastic tips for hygiene. The device itself is a one-time investment with no need for ongoing cycle purchases.

Acne is one of the most prevalent and challenging conditions in dermatology, affecting not only patients’ skin but also their psychological well-being. Professor Rox Anderson, a key figure in the development of the ACCURE laser, highlights how the device’s 1726nm wavelength specifically targets sebaceous glands while avoiding melanin, allowing for effective results across various skin types. This approach avoids the chemical side effects and potential scarring often associated with traditional acne treatments.

The ACCURE laser achieves optimal efficacy by utilising its fiber-source laser with built-in cooling technology. The handpiece cools both the dermis and epidermis during treatment, while heating sebaceous glands to the ideal temperature to destroy their ability to produce the sebum responsible for acne and acne-related inflammation.

Patients typically require just four treatment sessions spaced a month apart to achieve long-lasting results. These quick, 30-45 minute sessions offer a remarkable solution for patients who have struggled with acne for years, especially without the need for medications that could have lasting negative effects.

After more than a decade of development, the ACCURE laser is now FDA, CE, and TGA approved for the treatment of mild, moderate, and severe acne.

ACCURE, which is distrubuted by Aussie Medi Tech, is poised to revolutionise dermatology practices, offering a transformative acne treatment option. Dermatologists now have the opportunity to stay ahead of the curve and provide a highly effective, automated solution for treating acne. This is the future of acne care.
